Put Some Healthy Sh*# In a Bag!
Alright, got your attention? I'm feeling a little snarky today, so bear with me. It's December 30th... I don't know what day of the week it is... we're in that weird time between Christmas and New Year's Eve and I literally had to set 3 reminders so I would remember that I had to work this morning. So, yes, I'm snarky. And this is my advice for you today. Put some healthy shit in your bag before you leave the house. Stop over thinking it. You don't have to prep and plan and have all of your meals and snacks in cute matching containers (unless that's your thing, then by all means, go for it). Eating and fueling our bodies well will only be as difficult and complicated as we allow it to be. Read that again.

as we allow it to be.
So throw a few healthy things in your bag and go. Preferably try to stick with some produce and protein - if you've worked with me, you know the rule of "P's"! You will be so much better off just having something like that with you, than if you didn't pack anything at all. Perfect example - this morning as I was getting ready to come in, I grabbed a banana and an orange. I knew I was only working a half day, so I didn't need a meal. Some fruit would hold me over for the morning and keep me out of the lunch room where all the treats and snacks pile up. Done. Took me all of 30 seconds to do that. And did it work? You bet it did! I happily munched on my fruit in between client appointments and then I went home and ate lunch. Mission accomplished. So, my last advice for the year is to put some healthy shit in a bag and stop over complicating healthy habits. Also, if you need accountability to help these habits stick, you really need to join my January challenge group. It's only $39/month and it's going to be epic and loaded with content. Click here and sign up. You can also use your FSA dollars that are about to expire. You're welcome.
And Happy New Year!
Your snarky dietitian that has forgotten what day it is, but brought snacks, so I've got that going for me, which is great,
Julia
